Business Process Management provides governance of a business's process environment to improve agility and operational performance. A structured Business Process Management approach employing methods, policies, metrics, and software tools to continuously optimize an organization's activities and processes. Business Process what is, in fact, business activities: design, production, marketing, logistics, support, etc. Generally, a strategic activity is under the responsibility of a cost center or a profit center.
