Business Process Management provides governance of a business's process environment to improve agility and operational performance. A structured Business Process Management approach employing methods, policies, metrics and software tools to continuously optimize an organization's activities and processes. A Business Process is in fact what business activities are: strategy, production, marketing, hr, logistics, support. Generally, a strategic activity is under the responsibility of a cost center or a profit center. It describes how production planning and control functions are accomplished by successful information systems in process industries, identifies factors that influence the design of the systems that support these functions, and models the relationships between influential factors and planning and control systems. |
