Intercultural Communication refers to the question, how people from different countries and cultures behave, communicate and perceive the world around them. It also includes strands of the field that contribute to it such as anthropology, cultural studies, psychology, sociology and communication studies. It is also applied to 'real life' situations such as how to create cultural synergy between people from different cultures within a business.

Some key points:

  • Stereotypes and prejudice can cause difficulties in communication.
  • The differences in language styles are often not put in the culture perspective.
  • You can quickly recognize which cultural charakteristics can lead to situations with arising conflicts.
  • You will learn to see other people from a different perspective no matter where thy come from - another country, your own company or even your own neighborhood.
  • You will learn techniques on how to optimize your negotiation skills with people from foreign cultures.
